ROCK-OLA to Introduce Three New Music Centers at 2008 International Billiard Expo in Charlotte, NC

Torrance, CA – May 13, 2008 – Just in time for the year’s biggest home recreation show, the International Billiard and Home Recreation Expo, the internationally recognized Rock-Ola Mfg. Corp. has announced it will introduce no less than three totally new home jukeboxes featuring digital touch screen functionality, tremendous music capacity, and a selection of new cabinet styles to suit every taste.

First, the new addition to the “Nostalgic Music Center” line is the “Q”, a slim, compact, table-top model built with the same meticulous attention to detail that the Rock-Ola Nostalgics have made famous. The New Q is small—its dimensions are 26” x 22” x 11” deep—but destined to be a huge audio superstar with its rare wood and chrome-plated, die-cast metal cabinet, changing-colors illuminating the side pilasters, and the “Auto Magic Touch Screen” interface designed by Qsonix.

The second new offering from Rock-Ola is the Mystic, a compact, versatile, and modern wall-mounted Music Center designed with a metal cabinet and blue lighting to compliment and blend with today’s minimalist interiors. But make no mistake; there is nothing minimal about the Mystic. Measuring 26” x 19” x 7”, the Mystic can be hung with a standard TV mount or can reside on the countertop with two feet. “Since the first Music Centers caught on, the market has been waiting for a Music Center model for folks who may not have the space for a full-sized jukebox. The Mystic now makes the incredible Music Center technology available to everyone,” enthused Glenn Streeter, CEO.

Both the Q and the Mystic come equipped with a digital amplifier and two speakers. Either model may be connected to outside speakers or audio systems. Designed to maximize enjoyment of the music library, both models bring the awesome Qsonix technology in stylish and space-efficient cabinets to enhance any home.

The third and final introduction at the show is the Rock-Ola iRock, a sleek, full-sized, and incredibly powerful floor model. Shown for the first time earlier this year in London at the ATEI show, the iRock is available here and now to rock the house with a powerful 900 watt Peavey power amp (can be bumped up to 2600 watts RMS with optional Peavey amps) and complete Peavey-designed speaker system including 15” dual-voice coil sub-woofer, two 6-1/2” midrange drivers in tuned Peavey enclosures and two very powerful horn tweeters. The iRock cabinet is 64-3/4” high, fashioned with a retro-modern styling, all black finish with chrome trim, programmable LED lights that dance and pulse, and a remarkably small footprint of only 20” x 30”.

All Rock-Ola Music Center jukeboxes rely on a hard drive that holds up to 2800 CDs. The proprietary touch screen interface, designed by Qsonix—a leader in the home theater marketplace—allows the user to browse, sample, and play selections at the touch of a finger. Playlists can be easily built manually or automatically based on genre, artist, and year. All Music Centers burn CDs, sync with MP3 portable players, and can be added to the home PC network for additional music file-sharing. Automatic updates during regular maintenance cycles keep the system constantly up-to-date as new features are added.

The first Nostalgic Music Center was introduced by Rock-Ola in late 2006 and has since then set a new standard for home audio entertainment. This combination of the revolutionary Qsonix touch screen interface with the classic, hand-crafted “Bubbler” cabinet earned the Nostalgic Music Center the 2007 High Impact Product of the Year award from CE Pro, the magazine for the home theater and audio industry.
